Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

Last updated: August 15, 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you register or log in, we collect your email address and account creation date via Firebase Authentication. We also collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, navigation events) through Firebase Analytics and Google Tag Manager. No passwords are stored on our servers — authentication is handled entirely by Firebase.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your email address is used solely to identify your account and enable login. Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

This website uses Firebase (Google) for authentication and analytics, Google Tag Manager for analytics event management, and Vercel Analytics for performance monitoring. Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. By using this site, you acknowledge that data may be processed by these providers.

3a. Cutware App — Error Tracking & Analytics

The Cutware desktop application includes Sentry (error tracking) and PostHog EU (product analytics). These services are always active and cannot be disabled. They collect your operating system name, page/screen navigation events, and application error reports. All collected data is associated with your account email address. This data is used solely to diagnose issues and improve the application.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to persist your session and account information locally on your device. No tracking cookies are set by Cutware directly. Third-party analytics tools (Firebase, GTM, Vercel) may set their own cookies in accordance with their respective policies.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account exists. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention policies of Firebase and Vercel. You may delete your account at any time from the Account page, which will remove your data from Firebase and local storage.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update your email or password, or permanently delete your account, from the Account page. For any other data-related requests, contact us at the email below.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. Authentication is delegated to Firebase, which uses industry-standard security practices. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

8. Children's Privacy

This service is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the 'Last updated' date below. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
